Should You Plan A Memorial Service?

Memorial services are slightly different from standard funerals, but they can still be used as part of a wonderful way to say goodbye to a loved one. If you are thinking about holding a memorial service, there are a few things you might want to know before you begin planning.

So, How Is a Memorial Service Different?

Memorial services are a little different from traditional funerals. A memorial service is one in which the casket is not on display. In many cases, this is because the deceased has already been cremated or because the deceased cannot be present at the site of the memorial.

Often, memorial services are held weeks or months after the deceased passes away. This can be for a number of reasons, but one of the most important things to remember is that a memorial service can be just as effective for saying goodbye as any other type of service.

Why Should You Consider a Memorial Service?

One of the best things about a memorial is that it can be held miles away from the place where the deceased will have their final resting place. This means that you might be miles away from where your loved one passed, and you may want to provide a way for family members who live far away to remember their loved ones.

How Can You Customize a Memorial Service?

There are actually a few ways you can customize a memorial service to ensure that it pays homage to your loved one. You can customize a service with photographs, flowers, music, videos, and so much more. Take into account your loved one's hobbies and favorite activities to create a completely customized experience that allows everybody to truly remember.

Understanding The Funeral Planning Process

Hi everyone, my name is Sari Blakenship. My first time visiting a funeral home was an extremely comforting experience. Although I was blindsided by the death of my loved one, the funeral director helped me through the planning process without taking advantage of my grief. I was allowed to work at my own pace to cope with the grief in a healthy way. I was never rushed or pressured, despite the necessary timeline. Whenever I couldn't move forward, the funeral director held my hand and offered words of comfort. I would like to share each step of the funeral planning process to help others through this difficult process. Planning a funeral takes a lot of thought and time during a particularly difficult period. Please visit whenever you need a hand.
